Many thanks to the association "Main-Kinzig-Kreis hilft Beruwela" especially to Mr. Karl Eyerkaufer, former district administrator.
Thanks to this financial support, we were able to commission the straightening of the Sirisangablo Special School access road.
This is a matter close to our hearts!
Here you can see the latest photos of the work.
The straightening of the access road is a matter close to our hearts.
The approach road - the path to the school - urgently needs to be straightened.
Especially in the rainy season, children with balance and movement disorders have problems using the path to school.
We would be delighted if you could make a donation to help us realize this project.
We have been supporting the Sirisangabo Special School since 2013. We started with the construction of 3 toilets and a shower. This was followed by the construction of the school with one floor "step by step" as the money was available to us. After about 2.5 years of construction, the school was ready for use.
Some of the children have now become young adults who we want to prepare for life. It is very important that they find a job despite their disability. For this reason, we need additional premises. It would make sense to add a storey to the school building. There they can then try out and test where their future professional journey could take them.
We would be delighted if you could make a donation to help us realize this project.
The orphanage for disabled children, young people and now also adults was founded in 1986 by a Swiss private individual who knew the owner of the house. Since then, the former magnificent home has been available as an orphanage.
The Swiss sponsor passed away in 2011 and since then the residents have been dependent on private donations.
A therapist looks after the 48 residents together with the son of the owner of the home. In addition,a total of 4 women look after the 48 residents.
The home is available free of charge.
Due to the massive rise in food prices and high inflation in the country, the orphanage is struggling to survive more than ever.
The home requires the following financial resources per month (as at 2023)
Over EUR 1,000.00 per month is now needed for food, clothing, hygiene articles, washing powder and cleaning products!000.00 euros per month are now needed!
160.00 euros per month are needed for electricity and gas.
Help to ensure that this lovingly run orphanage has a future.
Edith Kerber, our board member, has been looking after the orphanage for around 3 years.
She ensures that all donations reach the residents 1:1.
On request, she can also accompany donors there and show them how important this support is. She will be happy to provide you with further information about the home and the residents and will be happy to answer any questions you may have,
We would be delighted if you would support this facility with your donation.
